Everything is better in dance shoes!

I expect a lot when it comes to shoes...they should be comfortable, durable and stylish. After years and years of wearing ballroom dance shoes, I find it hard looking for regular "dress shoes-heels" that fit this criteria. I have luck with brands like Cole Haan and Michael Kors but in certain situations like a wedding, taking dance lessons or going out social dancing..."it's better in dance shoes"!

A wedding...whether it's your day or someone else's, is a long day on your feet. Avoid taking your shoes off on the dance floor by wearing shoes that are as comfortable as sneakers. Ballroom dancers need shoes that are comfortable and flexible due to their athletic movements. The sole of the dance shoe is suede, padded, with extreme agility. Wedding shoes usually tend to be uncomfortable and only worn once. Why not invest in dancing shoes that will not only save your feet but look good as well?

Without question, you should be wearing dance shoes when taking dance lessons. When you're a beginner, there's so much to think about...the steps, music and your partner. Don't add worrying about your shoe discomfort or sliding/sticking to the floor with inappropriate shoes. Dance shoes will allow you to also "feel" the technique your dance instructor is talking about. It doesn't matter if you're learning how to dance for social or competitive reasons...there's footwork (technique) to be discussed and learned for every step.

Taking your dance shoes out on the town with you is always a smart decision. You will be the last one standing! Regular street shoes restrict moment due to it's inflexible and hard sole. Traction is often an issue with street shoes as well. Because dance shoes have a suede sole, it's best to bring them with you to change in doors. This will increase the shelf life of your dance shoes. There are so many styles for men and women, no one will ever label them as dance shoes.
